StreamSCAPES at I LIACOM Conference in Lisbon
On 20 November 2025, the StreamSCAPES team will take part in the I LIACOM Conference – The (Un)Sustainability of the Media, organised by the Applied Research Laboratory in Communication and Media at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (Portugal).
Three StreamSCAPES researchers will contribute to the discussions on media sustainability and the future of streaming platforms:
🎤 Heidi Keinonen (University of Vienna) will present “Participatory pathways to sustainable Video-On-Demand services: Preliminary insights from the StreamSCAPES project.” Her contribution draws on research from Work Package 1 (PlaySCAPES), which explores participatory approaches and creative practices in building more sustainable streaming environments.
🎤 Pauline Bissot and Solenn Houard (University of Liège) will present “Towards Sustainable Video-On-Demand Platforms: A Comparative Cross-National Mapping of Policy Measures.”Their work is part of Work Package 2 (MapSCAPES), dedicated to mapping policy frameworks and best practices that promote sustainability in the Video-on-Demand sector.
Together, these contributions highlight StreamSCAPES’ commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research on sustainability, policy innovation, and collaboration within Europe’s media and creative industries.
