This report details the significant technical and functional upgrades made to the Green Producers Tool (GPT) since March 2025, solidifying its role as a leader in carbon accounting for the audiovisual industry.

The latest updates focus on precision, transparency, and readiness for the future of digital production.

Key advancements include:

• Global Precision: Integration of electricity emission factors for 97 countries (via Ecoinvent), allowing for highly accurate Scope 2 and 3 calculations.
• Expanded Scope: New modules for electric systems, refrigerated transport, and certified energy sources to ensure a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
• Audit-Ready Features: Structural improvements to backend administration and material flow tracking to enhance transparency across the entire production value chain.
• AI & Interoperability: Optimised interface for future integration with the Green Streaming Tool (GST) and preliminary groundwork for AI-powered data extraction from invoices, coming in 2026.

These updates reinforce the GPT as a scalable, evidence-based platform, setting new standards for sustainability in the European streaming and audiovisual sectors.
