How green is your video streaming?
The Media Governance and Industries Research Lab at the University of Vienna is conducting a Europe‑wide survey to better understand how people perceive the environmental impact of video streaming. The study is part of StreamSCAPES, a project funded by the Horizon Europe Programme.
The research explores how awareness of sustainability relates to everyday streaming habits and compares users’ perspectives with those of industry actors and policymakers. Findings will contribute to evidence‑based discussions on more sustainable practices in the streaming ecosystem.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, responses are fully anonymous, and all data will be treated confidentially. This is a strictly academic study.
